Named the Great Murray River Postie Challenge, our 2017 ride was run in conjunction with the Horizon Committee from Echuca-Moama. This was 3 day, clover leaf ride based in Moama taking in the local area. Day 1, 180km westward return loop taking us to Barham out and back on opposite sides of the Murray River. Day 2, 230km northward to Deniliquin and Day 3, 160km out into the Barmah forest. We encountered many new experiences as parts of this ride took us off the blacktop onto a variety of terrain and surfaces that included sand and bush tracks. 12 male baggers, which included our first female rider, with 4 support crew combined with 13 local riders to make up a group of 25. The Male Bag Foundation contributed $15,000 to the fundraising, which along with the locally raised funds and funds raised by the Horizon Committee made possible the purchase of a transperineal biopsy machine for Bendigo Health Foundation.
