Phillip Island Classic – A Hot Lap Fundraiser
The Male Bag Foundation was honored to be involved once again in the Victorian Historic Racing Register’s (VHRR) Phillip Island Classic – Festival of Motorsport Held in March 2025, this event brought together motorsport enthusiasts to celebrate the rich history of Australian and international racing.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Male Bag Foundation was given the opportunity to manage the Hot Laps fundraiser, offering participants the chance to ride shotgun in a stunning lineup of classic race cars. Held between the main races, the event let racegoers experience the high speeds, sharp turns, and raw power of some of the most iconic machines on the track.
A Fleet of Legends and Passionate Drivers
This year’s event wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and passion of 12 race car owners and drivers, who eagerly donated their time, fuel, and machines to support the cause. The lineup featured an exhilarating mix of high-performance vehicles, including Ford Mustangs, Holden Commodores, Corvettes, and even a replica Ford GT40 inspired by the legendary 1967 Le Mans victory. Each car delivered a heart-pounding experience that left passengers grinning from ear to ear.
Hot Laps, Big Impact
Thanks to the overwhelming enthusiasm of both our drivers and participants, we raised an incredible $8,440 – funds that will go directly towards placing Transperineal Biopsy Machines in rural communities, ensuring thousands of men have access to life-saving prostate cancer detection close to home.
A massive thank you to the drivers, car owners, and supporters who made this event possible. Your generosity and passion continue to drive our mission forward.
